No other film this year played to my emotional center. And Sylvester Stallone gives the performance of the year!

2 The Martian
A funny and deep sci-fy film with an amazing performance by Matt Damon.

3 It Follows
This is a haunting modern horror film. It's also a commentary on sex and relationships like no other film I've ever seen.

4 Bridge of Spies
Spielberg + Hanks + Coen Brothers = Perfect!

5 Inside Out
Pixar created one of the most deeply moving and funny films of the year.

6 The Big Short
A comedy about the 2008 housing crisis that is funny and smart and scary.

7 The Hateful 8
Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece about justice and America's broken promises.

8 Star Wars: Episode VII
May the force always be with JJ Abrams

9 Trumbo
A brave and wildly entertaining film about one man's struggle against a false sense of patriotism.

10 While We're Young
Ben Stiller stars in this indictment of the millennial generation.
